linking vowel to vowel - glide

Hi, this sentence: "I can do it" phontically looks like: [aɪ kən 'du ɪt]
We can link "do + it". Right? I usually always know which glide to use (w or y) because one sounds bad, but this phrase is tricky because both sounds fine to me:

[aɪ kən 'du(y)ɪt]
[aɪ kən 'du(w)ɪt]

Which one is more correct? I would be grateful for any suggestion. Thank you!

I don't see any way to decide that in lieu of a specific token or at least basic dialect information. You could record yourself for a few days and see how you actually pronounce the sequence.
