arranging alphabet by frequency

i got this idea to arrange the alphabet in the conlang i'm creating by sound frequencies of letters. i played around with speech analyzer a little to try and figure out how to calculate frequency of each letter but since i'm not an audio expert or even a linguist, i have no idea how to do it. i tried finding formants and then calculating average, but that seems to work only for vowels (if it works at all). if i have a graph for letter 'A' with amplitude[dB] (y axis) and frequency[Hz] (x axis), should i find the average frequency somehow? do i need a spectrogram? if you know of any software that can do this or have any suggestions, please let me know. thanks

F0 represents the pitch of a vowel (or larger segment containing vowels). While it might be somewhat possible to identify pitch for other sounds like certain voiced fricatives, the idea becomes less meaningful for most consonants and entirely meaningless for voiceless consonants. In a different sense, in terms of the concentration of acoustic energy, you could measure and differentiate some fricatives (s, f, th, etc.), but it wouldn't be equivalent to vowels.

If you're looking for an established way to organize sounds, I'd suggest looking at the so-called sonority hierarchy (you can look that up easily enough).

Alternatively, what makes the most sense (in my opinion) is to organize them by phonetic features. Devanagari has historically been organized this way:
