Euphemisms-SPEECH ACT THEORY
« on: April 16, 2015, 11:55:40 PM »
Hello Linguists! Thinking of a topic for my MA research in Pragmatics. Would like to look at Euphemisms using the Speech Act Theory. Any input? Perhaps on how I should approach the topic?
Thanks a bunch!!!

Your research sounds amazing. You can look at how the context impacts on speaker meanings and audience interpretations? I imagine some euphemisms can have different meanings for different people.
