I am attempting to construct an artificial language, and I've formulated a little "experiment" to help me pinpoint the words for various nouns based solely on connotation. Make sense? No? Maybe if I actually explain what I want will it then make sense?
I'm going to provide a list of random nouns. For each noun, I want you to pretend like you never knew what these nouns were as if you were seeing them for the first time. What phonetic sounds would you use to describe these nouns? For example, my word for "fire" would be "ron," in which the "r" sound reflects the rumbling of the flames and the long, deep "o" sound reflects a fire's warmth. And then my mind told me to end it with an "n," so I did, it just felt right to me. Here's the list, the nouns are very simple:
Brother
Eye
Fire
Flower
Food
Hand
Moon
Mother
Person
Sky
Stone
Star
Sun
Tree
Voice
Water
Wind
Hopefully I can get a response or two?
