hi
I am wondering if there is a site that would help with writing phonological rules.
I don't know how to write a rule that means in an open syllable. Closed I think would be $?
Is this correct?
Just learning so could use the help!
Thank you!

It varies based on theory/textbook/instructor. We can't easily answer this for you in general. What is important is of course getting the rule right. But check with your instructor to see about the expected notation.
