A syntax Tree
« on: March 07, 2014, 02:06:32 AM »
Hello everyone :)

can anybody help me please?

I need to draw a tree for this sentence:

"Sam wondered whether a picture of Sandra would please the children"

I forgot how to do that by the x bar rules with TP and CP as well,

do I need to mark  the  "whether" as a 'C' ? what is going on here?

help...
anyone?

Thanks!!

Yes "whether" is C.

The exact details depend on the theory and/or textbook you're using, but we can probably give you some pointers.

You should start by showing us what you think is right so that we can give you some comments but not do the work for you.

One way to post a tree here is explained in this post:
