Hello, I am new
« on: June 23, 2017, 04:29:02 PM »
Hi all

I am new here. I am French, living in Lyon, France. I am not a linguist but along the years, as an amateur, I gathered a little knowledge about the topic.
The reason why I joined this forum is that I have couple of questions, mainly about this science's vocabulary (or jargon).

BTW it was very easy to find your forum. The reason I chose this English speaking forum is that if you Google “linguistique” in French you find gazillions of “séjours linguistiques”, i.e. summer tuitions in general in English.

I have another question, loosely related.
I need some bery similar information about psychology. I contribute to a scientific forum that has a psychology section. I asked my questions but got no answer besides lots of blah-blah. I searched for a dedicated forum but on Google one finds gazillions of forums to talk about one's own psychological issues and find support for them.
Do you folks know of forums like this one dedicated to discussions about psychology?
TIA

Regards
Nick

Hello and welcome Nick!

I'm not sure about psychology websites. But you're welcome to ask questions about language/linguistics here, as well as those questions about psychology that are relevant to language (see the Psycholinguistics forum).
Welcome to Linguist Forum! If you have any questions, please ask.
