Would you agree, though, that, in the following sentences, there are instances of "non-overt inflection" since both verbs happen simultaneously (one directly causes the other) and inflection only has to appear once?

"I let her [ ] drive."

"I made him [ ] do it."

"Have her [ ] meet me there."

...

What would that mean? In the interpretation the tense is the same as the matrix verb. But in syntax those are infinitives.

So...the sentences I have listed above are similar to these:

"I allowed her to drive."

"I forced him to do it."

"Arrange for her to meet me there."

The only difference is that in these sentences the infinitive marker appears. When the infinitive marker does not appear, the "caused" verb becomes merely an appendage of the "causing" verb. Am I even close to being on the right track?
