Typology of clause types

Probably just in contrast to the embedded clauses.

For main/simple clauses, you'd often start with basic word order, argument structure, etc. Then move on to the other types.

1. Clauses
- basic word order
- required constituents (only the verb is nec)
1.1 CCs
- clauses that are arg of a main clause (as described in §1)
1.2 RCS
1.3 Loc Clauses
1.4 Adv Clauses
1.4.1 causal
1.4.2 concessive
1.4.3 temporal
1.5 Sentences

Or do you think §1.5 sentences should be @ the top? especially since sentences are basically just clauses but more complex. How would you organise this report? Thanks!

What's a sentence? I suggest deleting that. And where is coordination?

Actually, coordination is treated in sentences -- should've included that... after all, coordination is a kind of sentence...

Seems fine. But again, "sentence" and "clause" are essentially the same thing so making a distinction is a little strange. The order makes complete sense, but I'd rephrase the last part as "sentence types" at least.
