Linguistic terms which cannot be easily found and understood

Hi, I am a student of English philology (teaching) and I've just finished a short course (set of lectures). It concerned some selected concepts from the area of linguistics. A few days ago we were given a list of terms which we have to know but some of them hadn't been discussed by our teacher and what's more I and my friends can't find them (fair explanation). I'd be glad (if it's possible) to get any help from you. 

So I'm struggling to find things like this:

Examples of:
1.  Slot (in frame)
2. Member of the category for category metonymy
3. General vs specific scope of predication

Other things/concepts I'm not sure of:
What is a difference between essential features and prototypes? 
Does script, scenario equal frame?
What are necessary and sufficient features?
What about on-stage (objective) vs off-stage (subjective) conceptualization?

I hope someone would be able to help with them.

Sounds to me like you might want to do some basic introductory reading about Cognitive Linguistics, especially how that approach deals with Semantics. (Those terms aren't used much in other frameworks like Generative Grammar, etc.)

But of course the best answer for a class is to figure out exactly what your instructor wants and to follow that closely. The specific use (even basic meaning) of terms can vary in different approaches/textbooks, and also the methods for using them. A "right answer" on the internet might not apply directly to your class, and also won't be an efficient way to get the information expected for your class.
