A sentence from an Invitation letter

Friends kindly luk at the following sentence
'We request the honour of your presence at the wedding of our daughter-----
I feel something is wrong with this sentence. what do u think.?
Kindly give me an answer

Nothing is "wrong" with it. It's formal/presentational. In fact, it sounds completely normal to me in that context.

In fact, Google reveals a few more similar uses:
(More variants are found without quotes.)

What in particular seems wrong, if you have a specific question?
